World Architecture News (WAN) has been running major international competitions such as House of the Year since its inception in 2005. Seeking to break the mould of the traditional annual awards ceremony, the WAN Awards are run on a bi-monthly rolling programme by sector, culminating in an international EXPO hosted in a capital city each year.

WAN is currently inviting entries for the WAN Urban Design Award 2009. If you have designed a project in the transport, infrastructure, urban design, landscape and public realm areas, you can now enter for the 2009 Awards. This award features two categories; one for completed projects and one for unbuilt / design only schemes.

The WAN Urban Design Award 2009 will be judged by a top-level international jury panel chaired by Alastair Lansley, lead architect for London St. Pancras railway station, and offers a fantastic global platform for IFLA members to showcase their work to the world’s largest audience of architects, developers and industry professionals.

The deadline for entries is 31st August 2009. For more information and to view the jury panel in full, please click on the link below.
