Welcome to the A2 International Indoor Floriculture Exhibition and Competition

The 2010 Taipei International Gardening and Horticulture Exposition (2010 Taipei International Flora Expo) will be held for the first time in Taiwan from November 6, 2010, to April 25, 2011.  The Taipei City Government has partnered with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in promoting participation in the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo.

The application to host this event was submitted by the Taiwan Floriculture Development Association, TFDA, and it is being organized by the Taipei City Government. This grand event offers an excellent opportunity to inspire people’s concern for their living environment around the world, and stir them to make their homes, neighborhoods and communities more green, energy efficient and sustainable. The theme of the Expo is “River．Flower．New Horizon”.  Key design areas include “Gardening”, “Technology”, and “Environmental Friendliness”.

The convenient Expo site covers 91.8 hectares in the heart of Taipei.  The 14 major pavilions will be distributed throughout the site.  We especially look forward to having your organization represented at the A2 International Indoor Floriculture Exhibition and Competition held November 6 – 21, 2010 in the EXPO Dome. Brief Introduction to A2 International Indoor Floriculture Exhibition and Competition This area is within the EXPO Dome located in Yuanshan Park, and the total area of the pavilion is about 6,000 m².

It will display floricultural skills and techniques from different countries and integrate environmental awareness and technology. There are 10 competition categories in the A2 International Indoor Floriculture Exhibition and Competition.  Category 1 to Category 9 are for exhibition and competition, and Category 10 is for exhibition only and will not be judged and awarded any medal or prize.

The deadline for application is December 31, 2009. Privilege Package The organizer will offer approved exhibitors a privilege package including financial subsidies of NT$100,000 for travel expenses (about US$3,000 at the current exchange rate of US$1:NT$32) and NT$100,000 per 20 m² booth for installation (maximum 3 units per exhibitor). Please note that the organizer reserves the right to accept or reject applicants due to limited space.  Therefore, we strongly suggest that you return the application form before December 31, 2009.
